We simultaneously support medical scribes' careers, ambitions, connecting them with valuable educational opportunities so they are equipped to become the next generation of healthcare providers.Summary: The contribution of a Scribe-X medical scribe is crucial in the patient care team. They work hand-in-hand with healthcare providers across several specialties to document patient encounters in real-time, catering to patients from varying socio-economic backgrounds to improve access to care for those who need it most. All scribes undergo a rigorous medical scribe training to ensure they are fully prepared to support their designated provider(s). All scribes gain the experience, mentorship, and support needed to become expert medical scribes to further their healthcare career.Essential Duties:Perform chart preparation per clinic protocolAccompany the provider in all scheduled patient visitsDocument the patient history, physical exam, procedures, and patient plan, as performed by the providerRemind provider of relevant quality metrics when appropriate, documenting to support quality metricsEnter laboratory and radiographic studies, as ordered by the providerEnter medication orders, as dictated by the providerDocument and print instructions for the patientReview completed charts with the provider between patients or at the completion of the shiftUpdate provider preference and clinic preference documents as necessaryRequirements:Typing speed of at least 60+ WPMAvailable to work 30-40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 7:30am-5:30pm PST)Must have a HIPAA compliant workspace to maintain the privacy of sensitive patient informationFluent in the English language with excellent writing and speaking skillsEducation/Experience:Bachelor's Degree or 1-2 years equivalent experience in a related field requiredPre-health career track strongly preferredGPA > 3.5 preferredHighly knowledgeable with medical terminology, and human anatomyCompensation/Benefits:Competitive compensation ranges from $11.00 - $17.00 per hour based on location, experience, and time commitment.An additional $1.00 per hour will be paid to qualifying candidates fluent in more than one language.Paid training for up to 30.5 hours.401K program eligible after 12 monthsPaid time off on an accrual basisEmployee Wellness ProgramUp to $150/month reimbursement for a healthcare planUnlock Your Rewards Today!Gain patient contact hoursOpportunity to receive a letter of recommendation from providersGRE/MCAT test prep material and test reimbursement.Guaranteed professional school interviews with Scribe-X University partners.Additional Information:Workstation Provided (desktop computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and headset)Must have a wired internet connection to maintain a synchronous connectionPhysical Demands: This job requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time
