Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks experienced Medical Scribes for immediate part-time opportunities. Our ideal candidate will be adept in documenting and charting medical data discussed during provider-patient encounters. Hours may vary, dependent on the physician's schedule. DUTIES As a medical scribe, you will record the details of a patient's exam-clinical history, current complaints, diagnoses, procedures performed by physicians or other healthcare professionals,
- Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for the physician.
- Updating patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient EHR.
- Reviewing medical record documentation to identify and correct errors.
- Organizing and sending documentation to physicians for review
Requirements - High School / GED
- MUST have previous demonstrated medical scribing experience.
- Must have excellent typing proficiency of 50 wpm.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Ability to Multitask.
