Posting DetailsPosition InformationJob Title Medical Student Coordinator Department Internal Medicine - 31510 Pay Grade 8 Job Category Support Staff Job Summary The Department of Internal Medicine within the College of Medicine is accepting applications for a Medical Student Coordinator. The role involves managing the schedules and assignments for Junior and Senior medical student rotations within the Department of Internal Medicine. Responsibilities include gathering hospital site preferences from students, compiling assignments, setting up student lectures, and organizing meetings between students and the clerkship director.The Medical Student Coordinator will prepare, distribute, and file orientation materials, memos, and letters related to rotations. The role requires proctoring the NBME exam, collecting and reviewing evaluations, and calculating grades for the medical student director. Additional duties involve serving as the primary contact for the clerkship program, processing routine correspondence, explaining departmental policies, and performing various administrative tasks, including filing, copying, and scheduling as needed. The position also involves coordinating and hosting events like the Internal Medicine Interest Group and offering student advisement when needed.The value of employment at ETSU goes far beyond salary. - Two (2) years of experience in a higher education environment
