Job Summary
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
  • Administers prescribed medications to patients and maintains related medical records under the supervision of the Charge Nurse by performing the duties of medication aide.
  • Promotes and nurtures Mother Joseph Manor's philosophy of a resident centered care environment.
  • Will support the Presentation and Benedictine Sisters' philosophy, mission, objectives, and values of stewardship, hospitality, and compassion as they relate to the health care ministry.
Education and/or Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of nurse assistant training program, with subsequent passing grade on skills testing and manual testing to qualify for certification.
  • Previous experience in working with people and demonstrating respect to others.
  • One year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Experience as a certified UAP accepted.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • CPR preferred, not required.
  • Certified through State of South Dakota, for Nursing Assistant and completes U.A.P. training.
Work Schedule
  • Night Shift, 6:00pm-9:00pm, every other weekend, every other holiday; 36 hours every 2 weeks
    • 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
    • Every 3rd weekend (12 hr shifts on weekend/Holidays)
    • Every 3rd holiday (12 hr shifts on weekend/Holidays)
PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
  • $19.00 - $25.25
