This site is responsible for Weapon Systems installation, operation, maintenance, repair and upgrade in support of the Aegis system. THE WORKThis position entails becoming knowledgeable in U.S. Navy Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) performance specifications and characteristics as well as the operation and maintenance of all Aegis Combat Systems equipment at CSEDS. These systems include Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC), Underwater Weapon Systems (UWS), Vertical Launch System (VLS), Surface Search and Horizon Search Radar Systems and Ring Laser Gyro Navigation (RLGN) system.On a day to day basis responsibilities include: Working in a team environment, responding to system testing requirements and directing technical activities. More specifically, providing solutions to technical problems of significant scope and complexity that will contribute to the completion of specific Aegis baseline programs and projects. Performing baseline computer program integration. Development and testing of requirements related to these systems.
