Position: MEMBER REPRESENTATIVE (Bradford)

Your purpose:
+ The Member Representative is focused on providing quality service to members while developing the skills necessary to become a fully trained Member Specialist. This role is responsible for assisting with routine transactions, supporting member inquiries, and learning the fundamentals of account management and consumer lending.
Gradually develop proficiency in these functions:
+ Teller: Handle teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments with accuracy.
+ Member Service: Opening personal and/or business accounts, ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. Performs account maintenance transactions including transfers, wires, balances, address changes, and reconciliations.
+ Retail Lending: Assisting members with loan applications, processing, and closings, explaining terms clearly, and ensuring a smooth experience. Informs member of loan status; denied or approved based on Consumer Lender findings. Disburses approved loan requests for consumer loans.
Learning and Development:
+ Enroll and participate in the Member Service Excellence Program to completion.
+ Engage in continuous training to build a strong understanding of credit union products, services, and procedures.
+ Collaborate with senior staff and management to improve skills in account management, lending, and transaction processing.
+ Receive feedback and informal coaching from the Lead Member Specialist to enhance job performance.
Perform Miscellaneous Back-Office Duties and Other Tasks as Assigned: Beyond member-facing duties, you will also contribute to the operational needs of the branch, including:
+ Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and compliance.
+ Keeps informed and adheres to latest changes with the Bank Secrecy Act, in accordance to all Credit Union policies and procedures regarding this issue.
+ Provide assistance at other branch locations as needed due to staff shortages or absences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Required: 3-4 years of related customer service experience; experience as a Teller or Lender preferred but not required.
Skills/Abilities:
+ Ability to engage in meaningful conversations, build rapport with members, and convey complex financial information in an easily understandable manner.
+ Display a genuine passion for educating others about financial products and services.
+ Ability to patiently guide members through various financial solutions, empowering them to make informed decisions.
+ Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in member transactions and other back-office duties.
+ Collaborative attitude with the ability to work seamlessly within a team environment.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
+ Sitting/Standing: The role requires sitting or standing for extended periods, often alternating between the two when interacting with members or performing administrative tasks.
+ Manual Dexterity : Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipment (computers, phones).
+ Visual Acuity : Must be able to read, view screens, and verify detailed information on documents, accounts, and loan applications.
+ Hearing and Speech: Must be able to communicate clearly with members and staff, both in person and over the phone, requiring effective auditory perception and speech.
+ Mobility : Occasional walking and moving between workstations, assisting members at different stations, or visiting other branch locations.
+ Physical Strength : Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally. (Almost all office jobs.)
Schedule / Location:
+ 38 hrs-40 per week, Monday through Friday.
+ This position is primarily located in Bradford, PA with local travel required for training and staffing needs.

The expected pay range for this position is $15.50-$24.00/ hour. This salary range only reflects base wages and does not include benefits or other types of compensation. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
