Member Service Representative MSR

The State Highway Patrol Federal Credit Union is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Member Service Representative (MSR) position. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner.
- Provide high quality member service in the daily processing of transactions such as deposits, withdraws, transfers, Certificates of Deposit, wire transfer requests, opening and closing accounts, and gift card sales. Perform file maintenance and account changes as needed.
- Reply to members' requests, problems, and complaints, and/or direct them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance.
- Analyze member issues and problem-solve to find the appropriate solution.
- Process incoming mail or email transactions as needed.
- Analyze member's needs and present and promote SHPFCU products and services to meet those needs. Participate in the cross-selling of credit union products to members.
- Balance cash drawer daily, in addition to adhering to proper opening and closing procedures.
- Scan daily work and perform such other teller functions that might be needed from time to time, and assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.
- Answer telephone, emails, LiveChat, and text messages for front office and lending departments.
- Assist in clerical or administrative tasks as assigned for other departments. Potential for further cross training and experience.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on all related policies and procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Dependable attendance is an essential requirement for this position. The ideal candidate will pride themselves on a stellar attendance record.
Qualifications Required: Must be able to multi-task, work efficiently under pressure, and prioritize job duties to ensure effective time management. Self-starter who enjoys working with the public both in person and on the telephone. Strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written) required. High school diploma or GED is required. Knowledge of credit union products and services, computer literacy, cash handling experience a plus. Pay is negotiable with experience.
