DescriptionSummary: The Membership Sales Associate is responsible for generating new membership leads and membership sales through both inside and outside sales calls. Expectations of the employee:

- Ensure the highest quality of programs and services and possess a working knowledge of agency programs and services
- Represent the agency and provide the highest quality of customer service to the individuals and groups with whom you come into contact

- Wear Mandel JCC Staff ID badge and attend appropriate staff meetings
Functions:
- Continuously prospect and generate new membership leads and new membership sales through both inside and outside sales calls
- Conduct prospective members' interviews and provide facility
- Assist with growing corporate membership and Jewish Agency program by calling on local businesses, agencies and developing relationships with HR and Benefits managers, marketing staff and/or leadership,
- Call on local Realtors, medical professionals, Jewish Agencies and other local businesses to develop relationships and generate membership referrals
- Call on local businesses and develop relationships with key decision makers.
- Cross sell Camps, Early Childhood, Club-J upgraded locker room, recovery zone, personal training, small group training etc., to new and existing members.
- Coordinate the flow of new members into our Fitness, Wellness and Recreation areas through an orientation
- Build relationships with members to obtain referrals and to promote
- Foster relationships with members to ensure a positive experience thus retaining their membership long term. Conduct membership retention calls to current members at 10-day, 30-day and 90-day period to encourage usage of the Mandel JCC's facilities and
- Attend regular meetings with Membership Manager/FWR team to coordinate monthly membership sales goals and strategies and provide updates on these
- Accurately complete all membership applications and financial paperwork on a timely basis, including sales performance
- Attend and represent The J at outside meetings, health fairs, and corporate events and functions with the specific purpose of promoting membership
- Create cooperative efforts with Fitness, Wellness and Recreation and all other departments to ensure immediate member
- Adhere to dress code of professional business casual daily.
- Communicate regularly with Marketing Department regarding trends and comments from prospective
- Actively contribute ideas and strategies to the Marketing Department to attract new

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in fitness/health/marketing/sales or related field, or related
- Two to three years of experience with one-on-one sales and corporate
- Strong interpersonal skills including patience, positive attitude and
- Strong verbal and written communication, decision making, and problem solving
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be able to stand, bend, lift and walk for extended periods of
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25
Starting Hourly Rate: $14-$15 per hour plus commission. Part-time and Full-time positions available.
