Job Description:
We are seeking a Member Solutions Advisor/Collections for the Eastern Region Member Solution Department.The Member Solutions Advisor is accountable for resolving delinquency on manufactured home loans by initiating contact with delinquent members to attempt to bring the account current. The Member Solutions Advisor is responsible for working with members to determine the root cause(s) for delinquency, negotiate payment arrangements, process authorized ACH payments, prompt mailing of the required notices, and performing all other collection duties as established by the East Region Member Solutions Department policy and procedures. The Member Solutions Advisor is accountable for proactively assisting members with curing their default by assessing their need for assistance, educating the members on their options, and making a recommendation for the most appropriate course of action. The Member Solutions Advisor must approach each account with the goal of keeping the member in their home or helping them find a dignified alternative.If you have collections experience, you should apply right away!Highlights:
  • Manage time wisely to ensure early intervention with delinquent borrowers
  • Take the actions required to establish contact and cure a delinquent accounts
  • Ensure all collection activity and notices that are sent contain accurate account information and are sent in compliance with company policies and procedures as well as all applicable State and Federal collection laws
  • Effective use of the vendors used to make field visits to control cost
  • Promptly review Extension, Due Date Change, and Loss Mitigation Assistance Requests and provide a decision recommendation to the Member Solutions Manager
  • Escalate a member credit dispute or complaint to the Member Solutions Manager and assist with the preparation of the credit dispute response
Experience:Required
  • Manufactured housing collections and/or credit experience
Preferred
  • Asset disposal experience a plus
Education:Required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred
  • College degree or course work in the business field preferred
Licenses & Certifications:Required
  • Requires eligibility to be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Registry
Preferred
  • NMLS registered
Skills & Knowledge:Required
  • Working knowledge of credit, collection, and bankruptcy laws and regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sales-oriented negotiating and decision-making skills
  • PC skills include word processing and spreadsheet applications
