We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Membership Coordinator to be the heart of a non-profit organization in NYC! In this pivotal role, you'll engage with members, plan exciting events, and support impactful programs-all while delivering exceptional service. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity if you are interested in growing your professional experience, today!

salary: $30 - $35 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 9 AM - 5 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

+ Serve as the primary point of contact, delivering exceptional customer service to members in-person, over the phone, and via email.

+ Keep membership records accurate and manage the membership database effectively.

+ Prepare and analyze membership data reports to offer strategic recommendations for enhancement.

+ Support initiatives related to membership recruitment, retention, and renewal.

+ Assist in developing strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of membership programs.

+ Be available for occasional flexible work hours during evenings and weekends as needed.

+ Actively promote membership growth through outreach and engagement activities.

+ Lead the planning and execution of events, including overseeing onsite evening functions.

+ Track event registration and adjust logistics such as room arrangements and catering as needed.

+ Collaborate with the communications team to create and distribute event announcements across multiple platforms.

+ Coordinate with venue staff to ensure smooth event execution, including setup and audio-visual requirements.

+ Manage communication with event participants, speakers, and grant recipients.

+ Assist in the administration of grant and fellowship programs alongside the Director.

+ Help manage committees related to these programs.

+ Take initiative and ownership of tasks from start to finish, ensuring proactive follow-through.

+ Provide thorough administrative support to facilitate efficient office operations.
