Membership DirectorWebster, NY ( • Bay View Family YMCAJob TypeFull-timeDescription$60,406-$62,000 per year plus generous benefits including a free family YMCA MembershipUnder the supervision of the Executive Director, the Membership Director is responsible for overall supervision and leadership of membership operations including Child Watch for the Bay View Family Branch. The Director is responsible for revenue and membership growth/retention, fiscal management, financial development, facility management, hiring, training and supervision of staff. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS· Overall responsibility for all membership services and membership desk at the Bay View Family branch.· Responsible for hiring, training, supervision, and continued development of all membership staff at the Bay View Family branch.· Serve as a leader in customer-focused operations. Provide exemplary leadership in member recruitment, service, evaluation, engagement, and retention efforts.· Act as a liaison between members and membership staff regarding member and guest concerns and work as the key leader to assure a safe, fun and quality environment is provided in all areas.· General oversight of all membership initiatives and services in accordance with the policies, values, and standards established by the Association.· Overall responsibility for staffing and supervision of Summer Outdoor Pool Cabana operations.· Overall responsibility for child watch and drop-off programs including, Child Watch, Adventure Center and Parents Time Off.· Act as a liaison between parent and program regarding parent or participant concerns and work as the key leader to assure that a safe, fun and quality program is provided in all areas· Responsible for assisting with the financial development of Annual Campaign for both sites.· Responsible for facilitating department revenue growth, member retention and overall enhancement and increase of services.· Responsible for the overall facility appearance, and related equipment.· Accountable for department budget development and management. Ensure a strong fiscal position and appropriate resource allocation.· Ensure all program operations are consistent with Association procedures, including maintenance, emergency, accident, purchasing, personnel, and accounting systems at both sites.· Implement membership initiatives and services that identify safety, quality, and excellent customer service as top priorities at both sites.· Serve as a member of the branch staff team, assisting with special events, programming, and committees as assigned.· Maintain and further develop contacts with community agencies, corporations, and potential donors.· Work with branch board members, volunteers as required. Lead Branch Board Committee as assigned.· Maintain all required certifications.· Attend all required meetings and training.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS· At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.· Minimum of three years customer service and/or sales experience.· Minimum of three years' experience creating, implementing, and managing high quality and large volume membership programs.· At least two years' experience in a supervisory role with skills in recruiting, training, and staff management.· High level of attention to detail and quality of service and facilities. Demonstrated commitment to high standards of customer service.· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage several projects at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.· Polished, professional demeanor with excellent written and spoken communication skills.· Demonstrated success in driving revenue and managing expenses.· Experience in fundraising and individual gift solicitation and cultivation· Must have current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 60 days.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:· Must be able to sit and stand for extended duration of shift· Must be able to bend and stoop frequently· Must be able to lift up to twenty-five poundsSalary Description$60,406-$62,000 per year
