In a fun, fast-paced environment, your work will help our guests make the most of their zoo experience by providing them with the best value for future visits, and will have meaningful contributions to the mission of WCS while gaining valuable experiences that can impact and advance your career goals.Essential duties may include: -Engage with all park audiences to promote Membership annual passes. -Handle all membership inquiries, answering questions & explaining benefits. -Actively promote membership as best value product to one-day ticket buyers, and engage with existing members to enhance their current benefits. -Support the overall Admissions Department front line operation which may include - processing park ticket sales, scanning tickets, facilitating entry into the park attractions, and line control. -Process all transactions through the ticketing point-of-sale system.Qualification Requirements -Prior sales experience preferred. -Ability to smile. -Ability to engage with the general public in a friendly manner. -Ability to start conversations. -Ability to stand for long periods of time. -Ability to lift and/or move 20-50 pounds. -Comfortable being exposed to cold and hot weather conditions. -Ability to work well within a team and independently. -Ability to handle cash and processing of payments. -Must be able to work weekends and holidays and during school breaks. Schedule varies and is dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change and may require late shift hours of up to 11 pm for special programs such as Holiday Lights, Members Evenings, and Conservation Mornings.
