The Paramount at Somers is looking for an accomplished professional Memory Care/Dementia Specialist to join our Recreation Team. The candidate will provide therapeutic and social programming to meet the emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for creating and completing the monthly and daily memory care calendars
• Take attendance during daily activities
• Prepare MDS interview assessments, care plans and progress notes
• Develop and implement daily programs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist CRTS preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years experience with geriatric long-term population or therapeutic recreation environment required
• Certification in dementia and/or behavior management
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, and Excel) and EMR (Point, Click, Care)
• Ability to read and understand task assignments; must have excellent communicattion skils

Salary: Up to $28 an hour
