Our team members serve with humility and a deep commitment to their responsibility to be the best at serving their customers one opportunity at a time.Summary:As a Lockbox Check Remittance Mail Processor/ Mail Handler, you will operate a variety of equipment such as the XDS and Opex 3690 or cutter 206. Through the utilization of this equipment, you will, presort, open, and extract incoming check remittance payments as well as perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the equipment. After opening and sorting the mail, you will prepare the work to be distributed for processing. You may also be involved in other aspects of the processing to include data entry. Working in this high-speed environment, you will need to meet production and quality standards, so accuracy and attention to detail are imperative.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Operating Imaging/Extraction Equipment (OPEX 3690)Preparing batches of work by extracting checks and remittances from envelopesInputting data into the system while following standard operating procedures and customer specific instructions for processingVerifying negotiability of checks through customer specific instructions for processingBalancing/reconciling electronic and paper documentationDemonstrating proficiency in all complexities, processing modes and department equipmentMaintaining site productivity and quality standardsContributing to meeting team goals in addition to individual responsibilitiesEnsuring that all customer and bank guidelines are followed as related to operations, internal audit and security, and general practicesQualifications:Remittance Processing or banking operations experience preferredAbility to analyze and comprehend client's standard operating procedures and instructionsIntermediate computer skills.Intermediate Qwerty keyboard usage and basic 10-key data entryProduction environments focus on meeting deadlines and quotasAttention to detail with accuracy and good eye-hand coordinationAbility to lift up to 15-20 pounds10,000 KPH45 WPHAbility to pay attention to detailMust be able to work overtime as requiredAbility to sit and stand for long periods of timeFlexibility and willingness to learn and be utilized in all areas of operationOpen minded with a positive attitudeHours:Saturday and Sunday4:30 AM – 3:30 PMAbout Us:First Horizon is a leading regional financial services company, dedicated to helping our clients, communities and associates unlock their full potential with capital and counsel.
