DescriptionKings View is a nonprofit leader in providing behavioral health services to the underserved community, is currently seeking a driven Mental Health Clinician II to join our mission to provide compassionate services to those with limited resources.Our ideal candidate will have a passion to promote social justice and societal awareness, respect for human dignity, and lead with integrity while listening and responding to the community in need.Mental Health Clinician II (957)Tulare, CAClinician II differs from Clinician I in that this person has passed the licensing exam and received their license from the governing board. Serve as an effective liaison between KV and community partners. Must display an ability in diagnostic evaluation and assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy and various modalities of therapy.How will I contributeProvide direct mental health services to consumers under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and Reg Director.Maintain clear, accurate and concise consumer records on the same day as service 80% of the time with a 70% productivity goal.Assist clinical department head as requested/required.Assist with Supervision of unlicensed staff.Provide professional linkage/consultation with outside entities.Enter all service information in the Tulare County HHSA Management Information System (AVATAR) by completing Electronic Service Activity Logs (ESALs) at the end of every shift. Approve and review documentation for staff daily.Perform other duties as assignedWhat I bringMaster's degree in counseling or social work from an accredited graduate schoolLicensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences RequiredA minimum of Two years of related counseling experienceAchieve competence in SMART CARE, maintain documentation that meets Tulare County guidelines and requirements.Strong understanding of DSM 5 and mental health disorders, diagnosis and treatment.Able to understand complex systems of care, policies and procedures, build and maintain positive relationship with various members of the clinical team.Organized, team oriented, reliable, self-sufficient, responsive and positive approachBi-lingual English/Spanish PreferredWho We AreSince 1951, Kings View leads the community in providing behavioral health services to the underserved population.
