Description The Hampden County Sheriff's Office is looking for an energetic, empathetic, and motivated Mental Health Clinician. The clinician will conduct mental health assessments and evaluations on an emergency and non-emergency basis; establish and maintain a therapeutic counseling relationship with clients/inmates/pre-trial detainees; help develop individualized mental health treatment plans; maintain relevant information and submit reports as necessary. Work Schedule: Two shifts are available: Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday, noon to 8 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Qualifications: Must have completed Master's Degree in social work by June 1, 2024, psychology, counseling rehabilitation, or related human service field required; clinical licensure or license eligible preferred; strong mental health clinical assessment/intake skills and ability to make appropriate treatment and safety referrals; solid knowledge of clinical theories and ability to use this knowledge in all phases of clinical practice; ability to facilitate individual and group treatment, and psycho-educational classes/groups and develop all relevant lesson plans; strong crisis intervention skills, Bilingual skills preferred and strong computer skills inclusive of report writing with working knowledge of Microsoft Office desired.
