Mental Health Clinician

📍 Location: Rikers Island, East Elmhurst, NY

📆 Contract Duration: 13 weeks (High possibility of extension)

💰 Pay Range: $56/hr - $60/hr

⏰ Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4pm - 12am

Your Role:

Under the guidance of a supportive Clinical Supervisor and Mental Health Unit Chief, you'll provide vital mental health services, including:

• Conducting mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and follow-up care.
• Collaborating with Reentry Social Workers for comprehensive discharge planning.
• Coordinating with the Department of Correction to ensure accessible, compassionate care.
• Leading group treatments, participating in case conferences, and assisting in treatment planning.
• Maintaining thorough clinical documentation and participating in weekly clinical supervision.

What You Bring:

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• New York State License (Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology).
• Experience in clinical assessment, crisis management, and discharge planning—especially with adults facing behavioral challenges and severe mental health conditions.
