Position Summary:
As a Licensed Mental Health Clinician at KGH, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. You will develop and implement evidence-based mental health treatment programs within a multidisciplinary framework, fostering a supportive environment for clients and their families. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing the unique challenges that come with ASD, enhancing the overall wellbeing of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to inform treatment.
- Develop and implement outpatient mental health treatment plans for children and adolescents with ASD.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy, fostering a nurturing therapeutic environment.
- Conduct relevant training sessions for staff and the community on the mental health needs of individuals with ASD.
- Facilitate sibling and family support groups, creating a space for connection and understanding.
- Collaborate closely with a diverse team of professionals—including Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Therapists, BCBAs, and Psychologists—to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for each client.
- Provide clinical supervision to practicum students and interns, promoting growth and development within the team.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related counseling field.
- Active licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (or currently working toward independent licensure).
- Functional understanding of how ASD impacts the family system.
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents with ASD or related disorders.
- Experience implementing behavioral and cognitive-behavioral interventions.
