Meet a Mobile Crisis Response Champion: Position Purpose:Functions as a clinical member of a multi-disciplinary service team, responsible for expeditious response to mental health crises within the community. Clients are generally experiencing psychiatric distress and/or extremes in emotions or behavior impacting their ability to function; in most instances, referrals for this program reflect that the client is perceived by the referral source as being in psychiatric crisis or severely dysfunctional related to psychiatric crisis or psychiatric issues; this includes the safety of client or others as being at risk.In addition to treatment services, responsibilities of the position include assertive case management, maintaining an overall perspective on client functioning, environmental factors, resource needs and advocacy on behalf of clients. The aim of services is to work with the clients (and families/others) toward supporting their ability to assume responsibility and manage their emotions and behavior and to thereby function in the least restrictive setting possible.Finally, management of a caseload of clients with some additional departmental tasks summarizes the expectations of this position.Qualifications:

Essential Responsibilities:
- Undertake primary case management responsibilities for designated clients.
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and educational sessions for clients and/or family members.
- Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations.
- Maintain communications with all staff (e.g. admissions, process, and discharge plans).
- Ability to coordinate services from a variety of community resources
- Utilize a variety of treatment concepts, evidence based practices and service modalities when providing care.
- Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, and staff and community groups as needed.
- Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work (or related field), bachelor's degree in unrelated field with 2 years of experience in mental health services, or 5 years of experience in mental health services without bachelor's degree.
- Able to conduct individual, group and family counseling sessions
- Provide case management, treatment planning, and discharge planning for clients
- Valid driver's license
Pay: Based on education, experience and credentials
- Starting rate for Bachelors - $23.64/hour
- Must qualify as MHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
- Starting rate for Masters - $27.37/hour
- Must qualify as QMHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
- Additional compensation in addition to base pay:
- On-call hours
- Holiday pay
- Incentive bonuses available:
- $200 per quarter for staff that complete more than 30 pre-hospitalization screens per quarter
- $1000 retention bonus paid every 6 months (prorated first payment based on full months of employment)
Schedule:
- Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 8:30am - 5pm
- Pre-scheduled on-call shifts
- Training: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm for first 2-3 months in position
