A community-based non-profit based in NYC is currently seeking Mental Health Counselors for its Brooklyn location. This non- profit provides affordable and supported transitional and permanent housing, specifically designed to assist homeless adults grappling with HIV/AIDS, serious mental health challenges, behavioral disorders, and other chronic medical conditions. As the Mental Health Counselor, you ll be providing essential mental health services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families.

The base pay range for this position is $40 per hour. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of the offer. Responsibilities:

• Provide mental health services and referrals, support medication adherence, and offer assistance with daily living activities
• Monitor and ensure clients are connected to needed services
• Conduct home visits and maintain face-to-face contact as specified in service plans.
• Ensure timely completion of all required documentation, including comprehensive assessments, reassessments, and progress notes for all client contacts and collateral interactions
• Participate in case conferences, training, workshops, and seminars, as well as meetings with peers and supervisors as required

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field
• 1-3 years of experience working within a mental health setting
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
