World Relief seeks a Mental Health Counselor. We are seeking a counselor to join our supportive team that has passion to provide trauma-informed, culturally humble and responsive, strengths based, client centered, linguistically and culturally appropriate mental health counseling to refugees, as well as work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team. Robust training in the form of CEU opportunities and supervision is provided.Role & ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Conduct intake and assessments with clients Establish positive and trusting relationships Work with clients to develop individualized treatment plans with goals and objectives Provide treatment and therapy contextualized to client goals and cultural backgrounds Continually assess client situations and provide appropriate ongoing treatment Provide crisis intervention as needed Maintain high standards of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA policies and proceduresWork with other World Relief members and external partners to offer culturally and linguistically appropriate wellness sessions and psycho-educational workshops that promote overall wellbeing.
