Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health Center. To provide mental health and substance abuse care to the patients they see. To identify mental, behavioral, and emotional problems and partner with the client to process through these issues through the implementation of targeted strategies and evidenced-based practice.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
Licensed Professional Counselor or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor with intentions to take board examination after completing 3,000 hours in the field. If candidate is an LLPC, they will be responsible for maintaining a supervisor in the interim.National Board Certified Counselor PreferredMasters degree in counseling or related degreeLicensed in the State of Michigan and all state-mandated licenses required for practice.Board certified in Clinical Trauma preferred.Accepted, or eligible to be accepted, by all insurances pertinent to scope of practice.Excellent communication skillsAbility to get clients to open up to youAbility to deliver treatment that is customized to meet the unique needs of every patientWillingness to refer patients to other healthcare providers as neededMust have the ability to work independently and organize several projects.Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner.Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.Must keep patients safe.Certifications and Licensures:
