Position Title Mental Health Counselor (part-time) Job Duties
Butler Community College is seeking a therapist to support the mental health needs of college students of all ages and diverse backgrounds. The position primarily involves individual therapy work and crisis intervention walk-in services. This is a part-time position serving as the point of contact for mental health services on the Andover campus. The therapist will work in the Counseling Services Department of Student Services alongside the FT therapist at El Dorado. Additional duties may include assisting the FT therapist with campus outreach and mental health education efforts to help promote a supportive, help-seeking campus environment. The Andover counselor will also serve on the campus CARE team providing resources and consultation on mental health issues.

Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
* Knowledge of a wide variety of therapeutic and treatment approaches for persons with mental health issues.

* Skilled in risk assessment, crisis intervention, evaluation, and referral.
* Confident in working independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication and relational skills in working within a diverse community.
* Maintains strong relationships with community partners and referral sources.

Required experience
* 3 years post graduate experience preferred.
* Daytime availability is required.
Required educational background
* Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Counseling.
* Current Kansas BSRB licensure is required.
