**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**

The Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs in Hunter College's School of Education seeks candidates for a Doctoral Lecturer position effective January 25, 2025.

Duties include:

+ Teaching eight graduate courses of teaching in the academic year (24 credits)

+ Student advisement and supporting graduate mental health counseling students and program

+ Serving on department and college-wide committees and offices, where appropriate

+ Participating in professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association or American Mental Health Counseling Association

**QUALIFICATIONS**

All candidates should either have earned a doctoral degree in counselor education or a related counseling doctoral degree; or _have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013_ . Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) preferred.Teaching at the university-level and counseling/clinical experience is required; supervision experience is preferred. ABD will be considered but a doctorate degree must be conferred prior to the start date. All candidates should have experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to working in multicultural and urban settings.
