Job Responsibilities With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina. This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Catawba Community Mental Health Center (CCMHC), Catawba Family Center, 448 Lakeshore Parkway, NorthLake II, Rock Hill, SC 29730 Under the general supervision of the CAF or School Based Services Supervisor, employee will provide therapeutic and emergency services to Child and Adolescent clients and their families. Will also ensure frequent interaction with other community agencies and maintain positive professional relationships. Responsibilities for this Position Title include but are not limited to:
  • Provide advanced medically necessary clinical services, including but not limited to, assessment, individual, family & group therapy & crisis intervention services to a targeted population of Child and Adolescent clients and their families. Services may be provided in the clinic, in the client's school home, or other community setting.
  • Responsible for case management services for assigned caseload. These services include: referrals, advocacy, interagency staffings, and coordinating care between agencies/service providers as appropriate.
  • Formulate recovery-based plans of care with person centered goals and objectives. Conduct timely reviews and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Attend and participate in Treatment Team meetings/staffings including staffing with MD at CCMHC. Pursue continuing education and training. Maintain positive professional relationships with MHC staff, and community agencies, as well as clients and their families. Work to overcome the stigma of mental illness and mental health services by providing education, training, and support services to the community at large.
For MHP Student Loan Repayment: This position MAY be eligible for SCDMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position. Minimum and Additional RequirementsState Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences.
