In this role, the focus will be on providing incarcerated individuals with skills to address substance use, mental health, social skills, communication, and other reintegration and life skills challenges. This position offers an opportunity for a range of clinical experience, connection with key individuals in the criminal justice system, and requires some travel and outreach work.Responsibilities Conduct group counseling sessions for incarcerated individuals to promote successful reintegration to life outside the jail system and improve healthy life and coping skillsProvide limited case management services for post-incarcerated individuals contacting the agency for additional and ongoing support in connecting to servicesProvide psychoeducation for incarcerated adults and adolescentsDevelop and implement group resources (e.g. hand outs, activities)Develop materials for outreach to impacted communities and stakeholdersEmails to community-based professionals to keep them informed of LICADD programsAttend collaborative meetings and events to support outside agencies and strengthen partnershipsAdhere to all facility and licensing standardsQualificationsLCSW, LMSW, LMHC/ limited permit eligible, CASAC for NYS - requiredMinimum of 1 year experience with demonstrated competency in providing outpatient mental health treatment modalities, alcohol and/or chemical dependency treatment, brief assessment and referral, and private psychotherapy practice.Minimum of 1 year experience with demonstrated competency in providing group services, especially to individuals who were currently or who had experienced incarcerationTime management & Detail orientedMicrosoft office proficiency Compensation: $50,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year At LICADD, we have a clear mission and vision for our community.
