QUALIFICATIONS
- Serves as member of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting individuals with a recoverable mental health disorder(s) and/or a substance use disorder(s) utilizing principles of psychosocial rehabilitation.
- Complies with State Statutes, Administrative Code, County and Department of Health and Human Services policies/procedures and social work practice standards.
- Provides support for individuals, families, or significant others in individual, conjoint, and group formats; promotes and teaches independence, resiliency, connections to community, and informal supports to enhance and sustain the recovery process; ensures that the recovery plan and services delivered are integrated, coordinated, and monitored.
- Adheres to strict record-keeping and reporting guidelines and laws; documents contacts and services, maintains files and data for reporting purposes; creates authorizations of services for payment per an individual's plan while adhering to agency-defined fiscal parameters and DHS 36 required timelines.
- Maintains awareness of community resources and support services available; educates families and individuals about available community resources and how to independently gain access to needed services.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external partners; serves as advocate for clients within the community; attends and participates in regular clinical meetings and consultations.
- Develops professional knowledge and skills by attending training events, conferences, and workshops.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL EXEPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in a human service, business administration, communication, or related field with three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.
OR
- High school diploma or its equivalent with six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.
- Two (2) years of experience providing customer service to a variety of people including individuals and families in crisis.
- Demonstrated training or experience in standard office practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated training or experience in computer use with Microsoft Office software.
- Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of a credit check, criminal and caregivers background check.
- Must have valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and access to private transportation for work-related duties.
- Must possess and maintain personal automobile insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000.
DESIRED TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL EXERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in human service, social work, psychology, nursing, communication, special education, educational program aid, secondary education, or a related field.
- Experience working with individuals in crisis.
- Proficiency in medical records systems preferred.
