Our team of licensed professionals are devoted to the application of therapeutic methods that enhance the lives and well-being of our clientele through counseling, case management, medication management and crisis services.It is our Mission to effectively listen, guide, and teach those who are at a crossroad in their lives how to build healthy relationships, regulate emotions, and manage stress in order to reduce suffering and reach their potential for happiness and well-being.Position Overview Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Mental Health Technician will work closely with clients to provide them with the support and care they need on a daily basis. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily care, shopping and transportation, documentation of behaviors and medical intake, and assure the physical safety and wellbeing of supervised clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
- Document medication intake and ensure clients are taking their medications as prescribed.
- Assist with shopping and meal planning to ensure clients have access to healthy food options.
- Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
- Monitor clients for any changes in behavior or medical conditions and report any concerns to medical staff.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities such as art, music, and exercise.
- Help clients develop and maintain daily routines and schedules to promote stability and well-being.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Previous experience working with individuals in behavioral health preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and customer service in all interactions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to establish rapport with clients.
- Successful completion of HCBH pre-employment screening and background check.
