Duties/Responsibilities:

  • ?Perform clinical counseling services to clients of Creating Space Therapy, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
  • Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Creating Space Therapy.
  • Respond to clients requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc., or through the Creating Space Therapy website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.
  • Communicate with a clients treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, etc.) as necessary.
  • Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contact notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time to time by Creating Space Therapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep client files accurate and up to date.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Creating Space Therapy.
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Creating Space Therapy. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
  • Passion for working with others collaboratively and helping our team members grow and learn.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Masters Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and
  • Active, provisional license (LSW or LPC) or independent license (LCSW/LCPC) in the State of Illinois is required. A copy must be provided to Creating Space Therapy.
  • Training in a trauma-informed treatment modality is highly preferred including but not limited to EMDR, IFS/Parts work, Somatic Experiencing/somatic therapy, polyvagal theory
  • Available for 30 sessions per week with the expectation to complete 24 sessions per week for full-time; Available for 20 sessions with the expectation to hold 15 sessions for part-time.
  • Experience providing grief or trauma-focused counseling.
  • Align with Creating Space Therapy mission, vision, and values.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be punctual in reporting to work.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to work independently on tasks assigned.

Pay & Benefits:

  • PTO: 1 hr earned for every 40 hours worked.
  • $500 annual CEU stipend
  • $200 monthly health care expense reimbursement (can be used toward premiums, deductible and other out-of-pocket expenses)
