We would like to add an experienced MEP Project Manager to our team to work within the established culture and guidelines of the Company. Qualified candidates will have extensive Bay Area business knowledge and experience, as well as strong communication and IT skills, demonstrated leadership and at least 10 years of prior experience managing challenging projects. Position Title: MEP Project ManagerReports To: Operations ManagerStatus: ExemptLocation: San Francisco Bay AreaRequired Experience: 10+ years Salary Range: $180,000 to 210,000Position Purpose:The MEP Project Manager will provide on-site construction field support with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Duties include on-site coordination and evaluation support of electrical and mechanical systems, such as emergency power systems, electrical distribution system, HVAC, plumbing, steam, and chilled water direct. Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Participate in pre-construction activities as needed
  • Act as liaison with the client, architect, consultants, and the Department of Building Inspection
  • Interface with site supervisors and look for and implement innovative construction methods
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules
  • Prepare project documents- client change orders, subcontracts, subcontractor change orders, meeting minutes, letters, memorandums, notices, etc.
  • Provide assistance coordinating with onsite contractors in planning and coordinating the stages of connecting new systems with existing utility systems
  • Control and monitor subcontractors and monitor their performance
  • Manage cost changes, track legitimate change orders requests, compile fair pricing for work and forecast financial results accurately
  • Review and expedite submittals and materials
  • Monitor critical material items and deliveries
  • Maintain quality control and production efficiency
  • Maintain immediate and direct responsibility for production phases of the project; resolve production problems
  • Oversee that jobsite safety procedures are being followed
  • Provide feedback on production costs to the Estimating Department

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree, in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred. Advanced degree desirable.
  • Experience with mechanical systems such as Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Domestic Water, Heating Hot Water, Chilled Water, Steam, and Electrical systems.
  • Experience in construction, operation, maintenance, application, properties, and limits of equipment and systems.
  • Experience in lighting design for task and architectural purposes
  • Experience in AutoCAD programs for schematic design and presentations
  • 5 years prior experience in BIM modelling and clash detection
  • Experience with MS Project and Primavera P6
  • Experience with Sage Timberline Project Management or Procore preferred
  • Proficient use of MS Office suit of programs required
  • 10 to 15 years construction-related experience overseeing projects valuing $50M to $200M
  • Knowledge of fee structure and contract forms
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
