Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ground-up construction with in-depth knowledge of MEP systems
- Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering and or Construction Management
- In-depth understanding of ground up construction and MEP trades
- Technical knowledge of various superstructure types, MEP system types and base building integration
- Experience with BIM Coordination
- Experienced with OSHA 30 and Procore, with proven experience managing trades on $25+ million projects
- Proficiency in CAD programs for takeoffs and construction detailing, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Blue Beam
- Familiarity with NYC local codes, regulations and processes
- Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a drive for excellence
- Effective communicator and possess strong leadership abilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily on-site supervision of MEP construction tasks, including third-party vendors and contractors
- Lead meetings with jobsite foremen.
- Assess MEP-related changes and coordination issues in field
- Ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget by managing approvals and deliveries, controlling costs, and reviewing submittal data
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and implementing the project schedule
- Examine construction documents to identify constructability issues related to MEPFP
- Work closely with Project Managers and the Design team to ensure correct coordination
- Lead BIM Coordination
- Guide the CD coordination phase and review document packages for procurement.
- Create comprehensive scopes of work.
- Oversee the permit process with expeditor, DOB, MTA, and other relevant governmental entities.
The candidate for this role will work both on site and in the Avdoo office.
