**Merchandise Assistant**

at STUDS New York, NY Studs is an experiential retail and e-commerce brand that has re-imagined the ear piercing experience. Studs mission is to empower bold self-expression and inclusive community through earscaping with safe and healthy ear piercings and the best curated destination of earrings.

Based in New York City, the **Merchandise Assistant** will report to the **VP of Merchandise & Planning** and will support Studs merchandising function through product lifecycle management across e-commerce and retail channels, product presentation,and sales.

They will partner closely with the Director of Product Development, Production, & QA and Merchandise Associate. This position is highly collaborative with our Digital, Creative, Retail and Operation teams.

**Salary Range:** $65,000-75,000

**Key Responsibilities:**

* **SKU Management**

+ Understanding and managing the product lifecycle from initial SKU creation to retirement

+ Maintaining all documents related to SKU management including SKU lists

+ Ownership of the line sheet in order to ensure all product is kept up to date in real-time

+ Ensure all product information is kept up to date in our inventory system

+ Organization of development and production trackers

* **PO and On Order Management**

+ Purchase order creation

+ On order reporting and communications with vendor and internal team to share updates on sample and order deliveries

* **Testing**

+ Coordinate with vendors to ensure all new product is tested

+ Save testing reports properly

+ Update trackers with current testing information

* **Physical Sample Management**

+ Maintaining an organized sample system for development styles and current assortment for reference and use across all merchandising needs

+ Keep styling tray up to date

+ Prep styling trays for photoshoots

* **Visual Merchandising**

+ Maintain template for all planograms

+ Organize new merchandise into VM template for merch team use

* **Administrative Tasks**

+ Assist in creation of merchandising team decks

+ Maintain all merch team templates

**Requirements:**

* Fully vaccinated prior to their start date or have documentation for a reasonable accommodation. Proof of vaccination will be required.

* 2-3 years of relevant retail or merchandising experience preferred

* MUST be systems-oriented with experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office; Excel proficiency a plus

* MUST be organized and attentive to detail - no stone left unturned

* Self-starter; able to learn technical and business skills quickly on the job

* Results and deadline-oriented with a strong sense of follow through

* Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

* Ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships
