Company Name: YUPRO Placement Job DescriptionMerchandise AssistantThis is a contract opportunity. This is a hybrid opportunity in Framingham, MA. About this Position As a Merchandise Assistant, you will support 2-4 Buyers and an AVP, Merchandise Manager with a variety of administrative tasks to help streamline operations. This role is critical in coordinating vendor communications, monitoring purchase orders, and arranging logistics. Ideal for those who excel in organization and multitasking within a fast-paced environment, this position will have you interfacing with management and external vendors, contributing to the seamless execution of merchandise operations. Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare, write, and review domestic and import purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the Buyer Worksheet system. Secure necessary approvals and follow up with Planning & Allocation.
  • Track purchase order statuses, handle discrepancies, manage late shipments, and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries, handling purchase order details, allocations, and general problem-solving while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Organize weekly reports, schedule market appointments, and arrange travel logistics for the team, including setting up home office vendor and agent visits.
  • Oversee sample management by receiving, displaying, and organizing vendor samples for buyer review, ensuring timely receipt and return.
  • Support other Merchandise Assistants and teams as needed, assisting with additional office duties and special projects.
Job Skills/Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for vendor and internal interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, to manage spreadsheets and reports.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in retail or merchandising support roles is a plus.

Pay/Salary Range:
  • Pay Range: $21-$22/hour
