Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to Temple, TX.The Merchandise Contract Compliance Manager will lead and direct staff of exempt and non-exempt teammates. Work with suppliers, legal, accounting, risk management and merchandising to ensure compliance with supplier agreements, other supplier contracts, and other compliance related items. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching, counseling, and performance management for direct reporting teammates.
  • Effectively appraise, coach, mentor, and train future leaders.
  • Ensure compliance team works effectively and quickly with suppliers to complete the supplier setup process including negotiating minimum purchase order requirements, lead-time, reclamation, terms, etc.
  • Ensure insurance renewals are tracked and received timely.
  • Understand all aspects of the supplier agreement process including processes for agreement variations and exceptions.
  • Prepare, analyze and audit various internal and external reports to track missing agreements, indemnification, and certificates of insurance. Facilitate audits in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Understand all elements of supplier agreements including, but not limited to:
    • Payment terms
    • Performance rebates
    • Certificate of Insurance and W9
    • Product disposition
    • Purchasing minimums
  • Implement and manage the McLane Grocery Contract Compliance systems
    • Enter and update contract terms, dates, and contractual requirements
    • Follow up on activities required to remain in compliance with all supplier contracts
  • Safeguard confidentiality of all aspects of supplier contracts and all related information in accordance with approved company procedures including appropriate record retention.
  • Ensure all contracts including, but not limited to, supplier agreements, event contracts, supplier rebate contracts and wholesale programs are compliant for the following:
    • All levels of approval have been received
    • All contracts are fully executed and signed by all applicable parties
    • All contracts are filed in the appropriate digital and physical locations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 4 or more years of related experience
  • 2 or more years' experience in contract compliance/administration.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Superior accuracy and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize, negotiate, and meet deadlines
