Our client, a handmade Jewelry company based in NYC, is looking for a Planner for at least 2 months starting ASAP.
Rate: $30-38/hour
Office policy: Hybrid or Remote
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing sales and financial performance weekly, ensuring that respective accounts are in stock and adequate goods are in the pipeline for program duration and long term profitability.
- Ad hoc weekly analysis
- Downloading Projection Analysis Ladder forms and reviewing actuals vs. future projections
- Retrieving sales information online, followed by formatting and analyzing the data
- Recapping sales to team, highlighting trends and opportunities
- Inventory/ Financial management
- Manage and control inventory levels, identifying risks and opportunities
- Build and present plans, communicating the strategy in a clear and concise way
- Review Reorder opportunities in conjunction with weekly sales review
- Submit Recolor proposals on best sellers to sales and design
- Submit markdown suggestions by sku in accordance with specific account's aged requirements /projection/plan
- Provide replenishment and reorder projections by sku for production to re-negotiate pricing and pre-source materials monthly.
- Project top level fashion order packaging needs to allow production to pre-source monthly.
- Identifying sales opportunities through the use of current sales analysis, working with design, production and Account Manager to ensure future proposals align with current sales trends at retail
- Manage business in season, including forecasting sales, markdowns, receipts and gross margin, while partnering with sales to drive the business
- Acting as a liaison with clients, including communicating daily with customers via email and phone, as well as conducting effective meetings
- Working with production, shipping and ticketing departments to ensure that customer ship dates are met.
Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in inventory management/Planner position, preferably with Dept. Store and/or Mid-Tier Account experience.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs.
- Possess a clear understanding of financial measurements and how to impact them
- Demonstrate logical analysis and problem solving skills
- Excellent relationship building abilities
- Experience managing OTB
- The ability to negotiate mark down dollars and analyze margin goals
- Keen sense of priority for deadlines
- Flexible, ability to manage changing priorities
