DescriptionMerchandiser This is a local/multi-county merchandising position, Tuesday - Friday or Wednesday - Saturday, 10 hours per day position The overall objective Merchandiser is to maximize the sales of all company products by striving to:
- Maintain and improve shelf and cooler space and position for the company's products.
- Maintain a businesslike and professional relationship with all customers, while striving to gain their respect and confidence.
- Maintain a loyal, cooperative, sincere, and positive attitude toward your company, co-workers, and supervisory personnel.
The Merchandiser may, from time to time, be asked to accomplish other jobs or duties related to Bibb Distributing Company and will be expected to do so should the need arise. If there is no route to be run that day, the Merchandiser may be required to work in other areas.
- Team and Company Meetings: Attend meetings as requested and always feel free to participate in the open discussion. Attendance at Sales meetings and Duck Club meetings is mandatory unless the Supervisor or Delivery Manager has approved an excused absence.
- Check bulletin board in sales room every day for new information.
- Check mailbox daily for new information. Maintain a mailbox that is orderly and free from outdated material.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving to and servicing/merchandising accounts where product has already been delivered to. Qualified applicants will need to be: •At least 20 yrs. old with a valid GA driver's license •Acceptable 3-year MVR •Meet and maintain physical requirements. •High school graduate or GED •Able to pass criminal background check, pre-employment physical with lifting requirements and drug screen. •Enjoy working with the public. This is a hands on job that can be physically demanding with bending, lifting of cases up to 25 lbs. and moving loaded pallet jacks or loaded hand carts up to 200 lbs.
