Description The Merchandising Analyst, Fresh performs diverse tasks in the Merchandising department, specifically focused on the Fresh category teams. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy new item setup paperwork for the category team, and managing the new item setup process.The Merchandising Analyst must be highly organized and skilled in cross-functional work, as they will work to provide project management support for numerous critical Merchandising planning processes.This role supports a passionate team of food experts.The ideal candidate has an interest in learning about merchandising, including product sourcing and selection, eCommerce site selling strategies, and the food supply chain.
Essential Functions : - Perform varied administrative duties for their assigned function within Merchandising.
- Manage paperwork accuracy for category team, and provide to them for timely entry into all systems
- Inputs new data into forms, and works with Master Data team to facilitate new item setup and any needed product Master Data changes
- Ensures accuracy of online product descriptions and nutritional information for products within assigned area of focus
- As necessary, supports cross-functional projects such as holiday planning, eCommerce content planning, and other Merchandising initiatives
- Corrects inaccurate data and maintains documentation of action or communication related to correction.
- As needed, supports Category Managers with new product sourcing and development projects.
Minimum Qualifications : - Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills
- Analytically-minded with strong organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and exceptional follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel
- 1-2 years' experience in Grocery Retail, eCommerce, or related industry
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : - Scope: Works successfully within functional team
