We hope you'll join us and see what the smiling pink whale is all about.Overview :The Merchandising Assistant, Men's is responsible for supporting the Men's Merchandising team and playing a critical support tole in the detailed management of the product life cycle process. This is an entry level role within the Men's Merchandising team.Key Responsibilities:Perform a multiple administrative responsibilities such as preparing reports and recaps for daily and weekly meetings, writing, updating, and tracking purchase orders, and actively tracking submits and other deliverables to ensure key product development and financial deadlines are met and in preparation for presentationsManage sample process, which includes accurately sorting newly adopted styles by trend and category; discard and/or archive samples on a seasonal basis as well as coordinating and tracking all account samples to ensure sample requirements (PPs and TOPs) are met and any product changes are communicated to the buyers ahead of bulk shipmentCreate style boards detailing styles, color, season, delivery dates, and other product details in order to effectively communicate necessary information to cross-functional teams and external accountsCreate and updates purchase orders and detail sheets regularly, as well as maintains pricing and markdown filesEstablish and maintains collaborative relationships with Design, Sourcing and Channel Partners to understand and learn the product development lifecycleMaintain effective internal relationships by using professional communication and efficient processesStay abreast of industry fashion trends and competitor activity through weekly market research, competitive shopping, and analysisWhat you bring:Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, business, or related fieldExperience in a retail environment and/or experience in merchandise buying preferred; could be full-time or through internshipsAbility to work as part of a team and interact effectively with othersAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong analytical and problem solving skillsDetail oriented and able to manage multiple deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)Every-day Will Feel This Good Because:We have a fun-spirited entrepreneurial culture filled with truly “good” peopleWe have flexible working hours and work from home days to accommodate your personal lifeWe offer a generous employee discount so you can rep our lifestyle on-and-off the boatWe offer a competitive salary package, 401-K, commuter benefits, and paid-family leave, health savings , flex spending accounts, life & disability insuranceWe have an onsite gym as well as health & financial wellness programs to keep you activeWe offer 2 summer Fridays to take off in addition to a competitive vacation policy & holiday calendar
