Reporting to our Director, Product Development, you will have overall responsibility to build and maintain product information within our Product Information System (PIM). This person will be responsible for reviewing product specifications, completing import templates, and optimizing attribution to ensure data is customer-facing. Overview: We're looking for a Merchandising Operations Associate to build and maintain product information within our Product Information System (PIM). This person will be responsible for reviewing product specifications, completing import templates, and optimizing attribution to ensure data is customer-facing. Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for new SKU creation, data integrity and governance of product assortment across systems and channels (ie: Salsify PIM, AirTable, Marketplace…)
- Partner with Product Development, Demand, Creative Studio, Ecommerce, and Supply Chain teams to conduct the necessary data auditing to confirm item information is accurate and the customer experience is seamless.
- Work closely with our Customer Service team to respond to product inquiries and correct inaccurate product information, aiding in the customer's search for the perfect décor, bringing joy to their home.
- Support eCommerce team on site data integrity with a consumer-centric mindset:
- Collaborate with the team to surface & improve upon relevant product information that will enhance the customer journey
- Own and maintain product catalog attribution, ensuring best-in-class Product Detail Page (PDP) and Product Landing Page (PLP) content for optimal product discovery
- On-time completion of seasonal product data, resolve gaps and support creation of agnostic data fields for new product types and categories.
- Relentlessly maintain a deep understanding of our growing product assortment and organizational priorities to deliver appropriate representation on-site and Marketplace
- Be a key contributor to ongoing optimization and enhancement of the Rugs USA & Annie Selke PIM roadmap, to meet evolving business needs and encourage product data excellence.
- Regular collaboration and communication with counterparts at Rugs USA to ensure consistency in data model approach and solve for new business requirements to support both brands.
- Build workflows and dashboards within the PIM to report on data completeness and improve efficiencies for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of experience in DTC Merchandising, eCommerce, or Catalog Management
- Proficiency with Excel and demonstrates the ability to manipulate large sets of data
- Preferred experience in home furnishings/furniture
- Experience working with Salsify and Shopify is a plus
- Attention to detail with an ability to identify errors, maintain data hygiene, and suggest solutions
- An entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Team-first attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
