Summary:

The Merchandising Specialist II will report to the Director of Merchandising & Pricing and will improve our merchandise mix and pricing decision making for assigned business lines.​ ​ Their focus will be on improving our merchandise offering and pricing to improve AOV, participation, improving overall regular price business and decreasing discount utilization.​ ​ They will partner with Marketing, Planning, Analytics and Photography to align on strategic deliverables. ​ Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Improved merchandise mix through the introduction of new items, new packages, and background choices​
  • Data driven decision maker. Working closely with analytics to understand price elasticity and what improvements to make to drive stronger AOV and participation​
  • Working closely with Marketing and Product on site merchandising to improve orders per customer​
  • Determine Seasonal tests to improve merchandising and pricing offering​
  • Coordinate execution of pricing, products with P&E, Merch Config, and Marketing​
  • Review competition to stay ahead and improve value to our customers​
  • Develop Merchandise Offering for assigned categories (items, add on offers, bundles)- in season, next season​
  • Pricing decision for all products, bundles for assigned business lines​
  • Work with product designers on new designs to add to the mix​
  • Work with photography team on new backgrounds to add to the mix
Education & Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related business degree. Experience: 5+ years of merchandizing strategy experience within organizations.
  • The ability to analyze data and think creatively to develop sound recommendations and solution to achieve strategic business goals
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments
  • Adept in anticipating, assessing, and translating customer needs into actionable tactics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient at interpreting and applying key analytical findings to support major merchandising strategy decisions
  • Experience in development and delivery of presentations to a variety of internal audiences: peers, leadership, and field offices
  • Knowledge of and the ability to lead merchandising test projects to refine and optimize the pricing and packaging for our business lines
  • Experience with financial budgeting, tracking, and reporting
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
