JOB SUMMARYThis position requires the employee to provide safe and efficient shuttle transportation of Mercy Hospital staff.This position's rate of pay is starting at $19 per hour. This position is Monday through Friday 12:30pm - 8:30pm.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Each day the driver will complete a DOT log sheet of their hours worked and an estimate of their hours of actual driving. Each sheet is for a one-week time period.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure the safety of the shuttle.
- Operate shuttle as assigned in a safe and efficient manner from location to location.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and security as needed. Also, maintain contact between drivers via cell phone.
- Maintain appropriate fuel levels on vehicles and clean vehicles at the completion of each shift.
- Due to the nature of the position, staff may be held over their assigned shift completion time or may be required to come in early to meet the needs of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must hold a valid driver's license and have a driving record that is acceptable to North East Mobile Health and the liability insurance carrier.
- Expected to possess a courteous and friendly attitude at all times and to treat all staff and clients with dignity and respect.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Have some basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook (e-mail).
