Paul Russell and Company is looking for a Metal Fabricator to work on a broad range of restoration and preservation projects. Experience working with pre-WW II through 1960s vehicles, specifically European marques, is preferred but not required. Our metal fabricators work closely with all other departments during disassembly, reassembly, and component rebuilding.The Metal Shop Fabricators work as a team with other Senior Craftsmen in the metal shop, but also are expected to complete assigned tasks independently. Applicants must have a willingness to learn from others, a desire to understand technology that is more than a half-century old, and the ability to produce work that is a strict replication of the design and craftsmanship of the original builders.Job RequirementsPractical understanding of and experience with TIG weldingFabrication and fitting of complete body and repair panelsReshaping and repairing existing panelsLead work and panel gappingFabrication of small body parts, such as grilles, trim work, and window framesRemanufacture of mechanical parts, such as exhaust headers and suspension partsExperience with fundamental tools of a panel shopMust possess a basic set of metalworking hand tools: wrenches, pliers, layout tools, hammers, dolliesCore understanding of vehicle mechanical systemsProfessional RequirementsA positive attitude and strong, team-oriented, communication skillsAbility to coordinate and collaborate with all other departments / skillsPhysically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without injuryFull body mobility and the ability to twist, turn, bend at the waist, and work on your feet for extended periods of time, sometimes with your hands above your head or under dashboardsAbility to take instruction, actively listen, and work independentlyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work bayA valid driver's license and clean record#J-18808-Ljbffr
