GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Prepares shelters, pieces, and parts for paint. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receives verbal and written instructions.
- Receives units, washes/rinses, and dries with a cloth.
- Removes masking from holes and cleans with solvent.
- Vibrates spot weld marks, scratches, excess sealer, and adhesive.
- Checks the surface to be painted for dents, hand buffs dents, and fills with J7 body filler.
- Vibrates filler to achieve a smooth surface.
- Cuts paper using patterns, covers, and mask areas not to be painted.
- Tack rags unit to remove lint and dust and moves to the paint booth.
- Use vibrator in completion of operations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary Ability to adhere to workplace rules EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent 3-6 months of on-the-job experience Basic computer skills required Ability to read, write and follow written instructions WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Shop Floor Environment Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating writs, keyboarding, using small/large tools) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to tolerate constant noise (i.e., machine motors) Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
