RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate automated finishing equipment to achieve specified finishes based on engineering drawings
- Utilize masking equipment to protect parts during manual operations
- Use conventional polishing and belting equipment as per customer specifications
- Transport finished products using hand truck, pallet jack, and carts
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Detect and report faulty equipment or defective material
- Adhere to safety regulations and support Lean Manufacturing and EH&S initiatives
- Inspect work using measuring instruments and perform quality checks
- Follow work orders and reinforce safety expectations
- Adhere to all procedures and work instructions per Quality Management Systems
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- No previous work experience required, but previous manufacturing experience is a plus
- Ability to use problem-solving skills and follow standard operating procedures
- Basic mathematical ability and strong attention to detail
- Good hand dexterity and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and communication
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently and handle various items and equipment constantly
- Ability to communicate and exchange information occasionally
- Must be able to distinguish information such as writing and defects constantly
