**SIGN ON BONUS**Pay is based on experience**2nd shift position, 3:00-11:30 + 10% shift differential**Job Title MF Set-Up Operator - 3 - APP Job Number 51-4081.00 Department Automatic Power Press Reports to Supervisor / Leader Primary Position Objectives Sets up and operates Automatic Power Presses in the APP Department. Assists in the direction of other Set-Up and Operator staff to achieve department and company goals and the desired quality and quantity of work. Will work with the oversight of the Department Supervisor and Co Team Leader. Position ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesDescription of Duties Set-up
- Production output of the Auto-Power Press area to insure that scheduled deliveries are met and to improve process flow.
- In process QIP specifications specific to the Auto-Power Press area operation and quality requirements.
- Oversee quality to insure all production is dimensionally correct.
- Operator and set-up personnel training.
- Troubleshooting all aspects of Auto-Power Press operations.
- Use of foreman's dispatch and open order reports and maintaining production reports.
- Monitor Set Up operations (of department staff) recommend corrections - changes as required
- Recommend and oversee all machine maintenance in the Auto-Power Press area.
- Supports Company engineering in the development of tooling projects as needed.
- Supports maintenance tool room as directed by department Supervisor.
Lean Objectives
- Leads SDWT Project Teams and assists in Department LEAN Efforts
- Observes Company processes and makes recommendations for improvement
- Participates in Lean Projects
Other
- Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
- May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
- Performs other duties as may be required.
- Ability to work overtime to meet the needs of the department and CSS business
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Qualifications Education/Experience
- High School graduate.
- Requires a very high degree of precision and control in their work.
- Knowledgeable in set up of progressive dies, presses & Wintress die controls.
- High degree of attention and care required, preventing injury to self and others when operating machine tools.
- Ability to make independent judgment decisions.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (stamping, machining, secondary operations, etc.)
Physical Requirements
- Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.
- Ability to lift objects from lower to a higher position or moving horizontally from position-to-position.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
