Job Description: As a Metal Framer at United Trades of America, you will be responsible for constructing metal frameworks for commercial and residential buildings. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints: Study architectural drawings and plans to understand the layout and dimensions of the metal framework required for each project.Measure and cut metal studs: Use measuring tools and cutting equipment to accurately cut metal studs to the required lengths.Assemble metal frameworks: Secure metal studs together using screws, welding, or other techniques to create the framework for walls, ceilings, and other structures.Install insulation and vapor barriers: Place insulation materials between metal studs and install vapor barriers to ensure proper insulation and moisture control.Collaborate with other trades: Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to ensure that metal framing is installed correctly and in accordance with building codes.Maintain a safe work environment: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.Troubleshoot and problem-solve: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the metal framing process to ensure that projects stay on schedule and within budget.Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience as a metal framer in the construction industry is preferred.Knowledge: Familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and building codes is required.Skills: Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently are essential.Physical Stamina: The ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions is necessary.Certification: Certification in metal framing or a related field may be advantageous.Team Player: Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaborating with other members of the construction team.How to Apply:
