Metal Shop Painter / Finisher / Machine Operator Reports To: Metal Shop Manager SUMMARY Engage in manufacturing processes including, but not limited to, painting, silk screening, plating, assembly, and machine operation. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent and three years experience in a related environment. Must be able to read and interpret assembly, schematic drawings, and work instructions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Painting Read work orders and similar documentation to stage product for painting. Prepare product for painting, to include cleaning and masking the product. Prepare paint for use in the booth and in the hand spray guns. Use cleaning fluids to clean the machines and the work area. Apply paint to various parts and miscellaneous components. Operate paint booths. Operate hand-held paint spray guns. Observe paint results for quality.
