Harlequin Design New York Inc. are looking for a candidate who will be in charge of all metal fabrication in the workshop, the candidate will need to be an all rounder in metal fabrication and experienced with multiple different metal processes and equipment. Metalwork will be used mainly for structure and strength but at times used as finished products. This candidate will work closely with the Workshop manager on all metalwork projects. The Candidate must:
Have a minimum 5+ Years experience in Metalwork Manual Fabrication.
Experience of managing a small fabrication process/assembly.
Experience in shop fit or retail display metal fabrication would be beneficial.
Be extremely well organised and have the ability to control the workflow of a number of projects simultaneously, in a highly demanding environment.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to read and construct from technical drawings
Be able to do polished stainless steel to a high quality.
Main Responsibilities:
Work alongside the Workshop Manager to advise on best methods of manufacture.
Fabricate bespoke metalwork parts and products.
Excellent welder and good all round metalwork fabricator / machinist.
Organise the day to day workflow throughout the metal department, ensuring all work is complete to the deadlines required
Monitor Metalwork department stock levels
Attend daily production meetings.
Ensure that all works completed meet the high quality standards set by the Company. All completed works must pass stringent Quality Control measures.
Act quickly to inform management of problems with quality or project lead times so solutions can be found and potential issues rectified.
Manage projects with flexibility to work additional hours to ensure projects are completed on time, which may include weekends when required.
Maintenance of tools, equipment and machinery.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the metal department.
Abide by OSHA Health & Safety regulations is at the forefront of all employees minds.
Act as a Quality Assurance & Health & Safety champion, promoting safety awareness and excellent housekeeping.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Basic Hours: 8.00AM - 5:00PM Monday Friday (7AM - 7PM in busy periods, with overtime paid at x1.5)
