Transforming the Future with Convergence of Simulation and DataMeter Design EngineerJob Summary:Our client in Saline, MI is looking for a Meter Design Engineer. This is a contract position.What You Will Do:TMNA ESV's (Electronic Systems Vehicle) Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to work on meter and Heads Up Display (HUD).The primary responsibility of this role is vehicle development for meter and HUD.Reporting to the Vehicle Development Senior Manager, the person in this role will work to fill Electronic Systems Vehicle's objective of building a NA electronics center of excellence that complements Global direction.What you'll be doing:
  • Vehicle application of meter and HUD.
  • Plan structure and design of meter and HUD through target setting, packaging and style feasibility that balances performance, customer needs and cost while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Issue design specifications to suppliers and manage supplier schedule, performance and quality.
  • Manage part list and issue internal design documents including engineering change instructions and wiring specifications.
Basics:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
  • 5 years or more as an electrical design engineer
  • Hybrid position.
Preferred:
  • Experience in vehicle electronics development.
  • Experience in CATIA.
