Meter Program Coordinator - Water Department at City of Caldwell in Caldwell, Idaho, United States Job Description City of Caldwell is hiring a Meter Program Coordinator in our Water DepartmentThe Meter Program Coordinator's primary responsibilities are to coordinate, oversee and maintain the City's automated water meter reading program. This classification performs a full range of advanced activities in regard to water meter data collection. Responsibilities Oversee and execute Meter Program; review accounts for correct set up and data, incorporate new infrastructure into system; create and manage accounts and strategically develop and maintain meter billing routes with consideration of growth and efficiencies. Oversee and maintain database management systems; compile and review operational, administrative and technical data; create summary reports; update and maintain records and technical documents. Compare analytical results against control limits, alerting theField Service Supervisorand/or the Assistant Water Superintendent of results that exceed limits or are not consistent with historical values; communicate unusual read results, trends, or potential billing issues. Foster an environment that values data integrity and analytical ethics. Provide guidance to Water Service Operators, management and the Utility Billing Department regarding data quality and Meter Program objective issues, and operations. Installs meter pits and performs meter change outs. Work extensively with Neptune Analytics creating or editing field names, collection schedules, projects, work orders and reports. Assist the Assistant Superintendent in investigating, achieving, and maintaining any procedures, applications, and documentation in relation to the meter program. Serves as the lead for special projects and assignments; directs and assigns work on occasion to other staff members. Ensure meter system activities, including meter reading, meter replacements, meter repairs, and customer complain are scheduled and completed on time; perform replacements as needed. Coordinate meter replacement and testing program; notify customers of replacement schedule. Maintain industry awareness of new trends and developments in the field of water meter operation and technology, proposes and implements process changes to improve efficiencies. Communicate with supervisor, employees, other departments and agencies to coordinate work activities, collaborate, exchange information, or resolve problems Attend meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on the principles, practices and new developments in assigned work areas. Assure compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations, and City code, policies, and standards.
